Project Management

Introduction
Project management is about using any means necessary to increase the probability and speed of positive outcomes.
Programmers, managers, team leaders, testers and designers all manage projects in their daily work, whether they are working alone or leading a team. It is very important in project management not to confuse project goals with processes. A good project manager manages the team (if she is not the only team member), not the checklists.
Project management can be a profession, a job, a role or an activity. Depending on how an organization is structured, what its culture is, and what the goals of the project are, project management can be informal role or highly defined.
Projects result in good things when the right combination of people, skills, attitudes, and tactics is applied, regardless of their origin. It is also very important to learn as much as possible from failures (own and made by others).
Experience
In 2005 I started working in ZamKor Publishing House as a Chief Information Officer. This occupation teaches me managament skills day by day. Since 2000 I have also worked on and managed many projects which are more or less related to information technologies (IT). The budget for some of them is over million zlotych (ca. $330.000). The project teams usually consist of over a dozen team members. So far projects led by me were not over budget and were finished on time.
